The Common Ground
Committee’s fourth public policy forum will bring its exciting style of debate to a new venue, the New York Society for Ethical Culture. We will feature a group of well-known panelists offering contrasting perspectives on the timely topic “Common Ground on Entitlement Reform.” We expect the forum to generate thoughtful discussion on the future of entitlements; a topic that affects every citizen in some way.
Senator Judd Gregg has spent over three decades in public office, most recently as Senator from New Hampshire (1993-2011). From 1989 to 1992, he was the Governor of New Hampshire. He is currently an international advisor at Goldman Sachs.
Governor Edward Rendell served two terms as Governor of Pennsylvania (2003-2011) and two terms as Mayor of Philadelphia (1992-2000). He is currently a news analyst at NBC and special counsel at Ballard Spahr, LLP.
Gail Chaddock, Congressional Correspondent for the Christian Science Monitor, will bring her knowledge of Washington and politics to bear on the question of realistic expectations of congressional action on entitlement reform.
